The Don Carlos Leisure Resort and Spa is a 5-star tourist complex comprising a hotel with 241 rooms, double swimming pool, restaurant, lounge bar and poolside bar. There is also an exclusive Beach Club situated behind the hotel’s vast gardens, facing onto Marbella’s beach,
At the centre of the Beach Club there is a large swimming pool surrounded by palms.
* technical description of the installation
Consultancy, design and installation for the lighting system were provided by Planet Service from San Marino, since 2003 the main organizational and technical provider for Herbalife USA (a leader in the sector of natural dietetic products) for all its European events.
The installation, made using only D.T.S. products, involved several areas of the complex, according to the different activities taking place during the convention.
The Beach Club needed a coordinated lighting system capable of emphasizing the refinement of the entire setting, focussing on several elements of visual interest, including the palms around the pool (lit from below), the waterfall (backlit) and the internal lounge, coloured in attractive pastel shades.
Ambient lighting was also provided in the hotel, in the lounge and dining room.
Outside the hotel, during the gala dinner for the 600 members of the Herbalife President’s Team, the Herbalife logo was projected onto the hotel façade and the water in the pool, and a coloured background was created for the stage used for the conference.
